The Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa played host to one of the final shows for Canadian band, SUM 41, on Friday night. “Tour of the Setting Sum” began March 1/2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia coinciding with the release of Sum 41’s final album release – “Heaven :x: Hell. The “Setting Sum” tour has gone worldwide making show stops in the United States, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Italy and back home in Canada
These Ajax, Ontario rockers featuring Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dave Baksh (lead guitar, vocals), Jason McCaslin (bass guitar, vocals) and Frank Summo (drums, vocals) started out in 1999, and have earned a place in music history with record breaking Billboard chart releases, a Grammy nomination, two Juno awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang!, and countless other accolades over the years.
“Tour of the Setting Sum” comes to its musical end on January 30 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto with support from GOB and PUP. Already sold out for January 28, some tickets may be still available for the second night.
